What it does

  • Uses a fine probe and localised thermal energy for targeted electrocoagulation.
  • May be used on suitable, assessed benign skin tags; suitability and aftercare come first.

What it doesn’t do

  • It does not diagnose an unknown growth or establish that a mole is safe to treat.
  • Treatment is not guaranteed scar-free. Healing is required and scarring or pigment changes can occur.

A growth that is enlarging, painful or bleeding should be checked by a GP before any cosmetic treatment. NHS guidance on skin tags
